Fleur Selkirk

EMMETT 4 Dogs Practitioner

Torquay, VIC

Fleur Selkirk
  • Fleur is a small animal veterinarian based at Torquay Animal House in Torquay. She is also a qualified veterinary acupuncturist. After completing the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS) course in 2008 and seeing some wonderful results in many patients through acupuncture, Fleur wanted to further her skills in treating musculoskeletal problems.  She wanted to help the animals who didn’t like needles!

Fleur successfully completed the Emmett 4 Dogs course in 2016. Already she has seen some great results in both cats and dogs through Emmett therapy - they just seem to love it as it is so gentle and gives great results. She has had plenty of practice on her own dog Phoenix (in picture) and two burmese cats.

Even though Fleur is a veterinarian working in a veterinary clinic, she is happy to consult and treat pets from other vet clinics.  If your pet is normally consulted at another clinic, Fleur will write a report back to your regular vet describing the treatment given. Communication is really important.

Through combining many modalities in acupuncture, Emmett therapy, trigger point therapy  and laser therapy, Fleur feels she now has many tools to tailor a treatment plan to each animal’s condition and personality and help maximize and accelerate their recovery. She loves seeing happy pets leave the clinic.
